It’s almost Halloween, and in perfect timing, the new series of Stranger Things is out on Netflix, all ready for you to have a good binge-watch whilst having a curry.
If you haven’t seen the first series, it’s definitely worth a watch. Set in the 1980s, weird things start happening in a small American town when a boy goes missing. His 3 friends take it upon themselves to go looking for him and find all sorts of weird things along the way, including a girl with some supernatural powers.
It’s packed full of 1980s synthesizer music, crazy haircuts and scenes that you can only watch through your fingers, it’s perfect for Halloween time.
In honour of the new series, we’ve found three ‘stranger things’ on our menu that you may not expect of an Indian restaurant – but we think you’ll love them!
- Scampi and Chips
If you remember the classic “Going out for an English” sketch on Goodness Gracious Me, you’ll know that Scampi is more of a classic English dish than something Indian. However, we know that now and again, some of you would still like to ‘go out for an English’ so we’ve got it on our menu for you.
- Chocolate Cookie Dough
Some other Indian restaurants may not be known for their desserts, but we are! There’s nothing better to finish off a great meal than with something sweet, and our Chocolate cookie dough is naughty, but very, very nice!
- Laphroaig Reserve
You may not think that you can get whisky at an Indian restaurant, but you definitely can here. The Laphroaig is a single malt from the island of Islay in Scotland and has a smoky and peaty taste that is typical of the region. It’s a fantastic way to finish off your meal before you head home.
